What was once home to the Beaver Falls News-Tribune is now being transformed into a multi-functional play space museum. The 18,000-square-foot building will be transformed to offer summer camps, after-school programs, and hands-on activities to expose children to the arts and sciences.
DRAW Collective has collaborated with the project stakeholders to create the design for Neighborhood North’s Museum of Play to help foster growth and learning opportunities in the community. The new design highlights crucial developmental activities in various experiences (climb, explore, create, play) and light physical activities such as a bike-powered train and rope course. DRAW’s strategic design of the Museum of Play ensures the proper integration of colorful designs, interactive play, and diversified learning activities. The original sign will be placed indoors to commemorate the News-Tribune to showcase the building’s history.
The project is currently in the funding stage with a campaign led by RiverWise. It is expected to open in 2028.
